MOMS Club® is an international, non-profit organization specifically designed for full or part time stay-at-home mothers. Besides being a great way to meet other moms in our community, we give each other support, do fun activities, and perform service projects for those in need within our community.

The MOMS Club® was founded in 1983 by a stay-at-home mother in California. When she discovered there were no other organizations that met during the day and allowed her to come to events with her baby and preschooler, she decided to start her own group for at-home mothers.

Since the chapter she started was so successful, she knew mothers in other areas must need the support offered by the MOMS Club®, too. Soon, she and other volunteers were helping mothers start their own chapters of the MOMS Club®  across the country and around the world! To learn more about the International MOMS Club®, visit

MOMS Club® Of Madison County, MS

The MOMS Club® of Madison Mississippi was founded in September 2004. Our chapter is specifically designated for those living within Madison County and our activities are primarily held in the towns/cities of: Madison, Ridgeland and Jackson. As a group, we try to center our weekly playgroups near the Madison/Ridgeland area, but we also coordinate activities and events throughout Jackson and surrounding cities to take advantage of all the fun things there are to do in Central Mississippi.

We have a board that helps run the club and the individuals who serve do so on a voluntary basis. We also have coordinators who assist the club in various positions. In keeping with our mission to support moms, we have a meal coordinator who helps to organize meals for moms who have recently had a baby, or are dealing with another life event that requires this help. Please don’t hesitate to contact the meal coordinator if you are in need of some help or know of a member who would appreciate this service.

WHAT WE DO

We maintain an email and facebook (private) page to communicate information with our members. We schedule activities at our monthly calendar meeting. We encourage all members to give us ideas and suggestions- we welcome all input and involvement!

We schedule park days, indoor play days, playgroups, lunch dates, seasonal parties, community adventures, service projects, & Moms Night Out (MNO) for a little grown up time and the chance to get to know each other better.

As with any group we want to promote an inclusive environment, but we also recognize that individuals will connect with particular members through our group, which is great! We hope that through this group you will make friends.

We do have bylaws (dictated by International MOMS Club®) that we adhere to. We also have a code of conduct that helps dictate expectations set forth by International MOMS Club® as well as our own chapter. We require all members to sign the code of conduct upon joining indicating understanding of these expectations.

WHY WE DO IT

To meet other moms and to make connections! Children are always welcome at activities. You are welcome to participate as much or as little as you like- we are a group that serves to fit your needs.
